  • Did Someone Say Calamari? » Calamari

    Gizmodo, MacUser and a host of other blogs have directed traffic toward Pacific Catch, the restaurant lucky enough to be featured onscreen in the Calamari iPhone ad.

    The ad in question poses a hypothetical scenario where one is watching “Pirates of the Caribbean” (Dead Man’s Chest, apparently) on one’s iPhone and is inspired to order some calamari. Turning to the lovely map widget on the device, Pacific Catch is easily located and called.

    I hesitate to point out, and do correct me if I’m wrong, but… looking at Pacific Catch’s website, it doesn’t seem like they have any calamari on their San Francisco location’s menu… Oops.

    Oh geez, that’s great haha. Unsuspecting customers will have to just order their deep fried oysters instead … perhaps not the most fitting substitute, arrr.
